Transport is the most underestimated part of a business trip to Guangzhou. Baiyun Airport is 45 minutes from the city centre, Foshan and Dongguan are an hour or more, and factories are scattered across different towns. Here is the checklist we give corporate guests.
Before arrival
- Send your flight number and confirm flight tracking and free waiting are included.
- Confirm the hotel address and check-in time so the driver waits at the right entrance.
- Tell us how many bags you have — upgrade to an MPV if needed.
Around the city
With two or more meetings in a day, book a 6- or 11-hour package. Per-trip pricing looks cheaper, but waiting time and re-hailing after a meeting overruns cost more.
Factory visits
Visiting two or three factories in Foshan, Dongguan or Shenzhen in one day is normal. Sequence the addresses geographically and take the 11-hour package with 300 km and unlimited stops.
Departure
Arrive three hours before an international flight; add 30 minutes if leaving Zhujiang New Town during the 7:30–9:30 peak.
